Best books for Web Developers to be!

Written by on October 12, 2016

Hello my friends,

Today I want to talk about some books that will help you to learn to code. Sometimes it’s easier to have a book, as you can take notes right in it and not have to worry about dropping it compared to your precious laptop.

The Internet is full of different recommendations about which book to buy and it takes a long time to pick the one you really need. To make your life easier, I hand picked several books that will be helpful on your journey to becoming a Web Developer.

Based on my experience of a self-taught Web Developer, I found that the best book series for beginners is “Head First”, by O’REILLY. They have series of books:

I personally love “Head First JavaScript Programming”, it includes the theory, exercises, pictures and even anecdotes! Which makes it super fun, interesting and what is most important, your brain gladly remember all of that. The style and way of teaching are perfect, as you don’t get bored from this book.

Design skills are equally as important in today’s market and to develop those, I recommend “100 things every designer should know about people” book by Susan M. Weinschenk. This book combines real science and research with practical examples, which make it a perfect guide for designers. It is a wonderful resource about how to design intuitive and engaging products that match the way people think.

To truly enable your creativity, I recommend a great book by David Sherwin, “Creative workshop”. This book has 80 creative challenges which are well scoped and range from designing a logo to TV advertising spots!

These are my favorite books and I hope you find them as interesting as I did.

If you have your favorite books related to Web Development, please don’t be shy, share it with me down below in comments section.

Cheers!
